The short version
Face analysis, hairstyle try-on, hair color and retouch all run on your phone — those photos never leave your device. The optional AI Studio features send your photo securely to a third-party AI service just long enough to generate the result; we never store your photos on any server of our own, and we never use them to train AI models.
1. Who we are
HairMatch ("we", "us") is a mobile app that analyzes your face shape and lets you preview hairstyles, hair colors and beauty retouching. For anything in this policy, contact us at plufinrai@gmail.com.
2. On-device features
The core of HairMatch runs entirely on your device: face shape analysis, hairstyle try-on, hair color studio and beauty retouch. For these features:
Your photos are processed locally and are never uploaded to any server.
Face measurements (jaw, cheekbone and forehead geometry) are computed and stored only in the app's local storage on your phone.
Saved reports and looks stay on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.
3. Cloud AI features (AI Studio)
Some features — such as aging, gender swap and star-look blending — require more computing power than a phone provides. When you use one of these features:
The photo you selected is transmitted over an encrypted connection to a third-party AI processing service (currently Baidu AI Cloud and Tencent Cloud) for the sole purpose of generating your result.
The photo and the result are returned to your device; we do not operate any server that stores your photos.
Our AI providers process the images as our service providers and are not permitted to use them for their own purposes, including training AI models.
Nothing is uploaded unless you actively start a cloud AI feature. The app labels these features so you can tell them apart from on-device ones.
4. Face data
Because HairMatch works with faces, here is exactly what happens to face data:
What is collected: facial landmark geometry (distances and ratios) computed on your device; for cloud AI features, the photo itself is transmitted as described above.
How long it is kept: on-device measurements and reports are kept in local storage until you delete them or the app. Photos sent to cloud AI providers are used transiently to generate the result and are not retained by us.
Who it is shared with: no one, except the cloud AI providers named above, and only when you use a cloud AI feature. Face data is never sold and never used for advertising or tracking.
5. Subscriptions and payments
HairMatch Pro is sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never receive your card number or billing details. To verify your subscription status, the app may process a purchase receipt or subscription token issued by the store; this does not identify you personally to us.
6. Advertising
The free version of HairMatch shows ads (interstitial and rewarded video) served by third-party ad networks such as Google AdMob. Ad networks may process device information — including the advertising identifier — to serve, limit and measure ads, subject to their own privacy policies (see Google's Privacy Policy).
On iOS, the app asks for tracking permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, you still see ads, but they are not personalized using cross-app tracking.
You can reset or limit your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings.
Where required (for example under the GDPR), you will be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, and you can withdraw it in the app or your device settings.
7. Diagnostics
To keep the app stable, we may collect anonymized crash reports and aggregate usage statistics (for example, which feature was open when a crash occurred). These do not include your photos or face data and do not identify you.
8. Your rights and data deletion
Because your content lives on your device, deleting the app removes your photos, measurements and reports. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may also have rights to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, email plufinrai@gmail.com and we will respond within the time required by law.
9. Children
HairMatch is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will also be flagged inside the app.
